Jessica Bennett
Executive Director
"I joined Safe Haven's Board in May of 2017 and by July I was hired as Communications Director. In May of 2021 I accepted the position of Executive Director. I believe very strongly that the Body of Christ here in Longmont has an obligation to our homeless brothers and sisters to show them the love, grace, and mercy of Jesus Christ."
Rev. Josh Walker
Chaplain
"I believe that “church” should not be confined to four walls and one hour per week. Church is something we live out each and everyday as we minister to others in the name of Jesus Christ.
As the Chaplain of Agape, I serve the guests through Christian education and spiritual guidance.
I graduated from the Iliff School of Theology with a Master of Divinity and am an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. I have served at several churches on the Front Range and I have a great deal of education and experience in the areas of Theology, Christian Education, and Pastoral Care.
I have been married to my wife, Kelly, for 20 years. We have three children that keep us busy, smiling and proud."
Paula Saxon
Board Treasurer
Paula was a part of Safe Haven even before it was named Safe Haven! Her hard work helped shape the early years of our Program. After stepping away for a few years she was once again called back to help with our ministry. In addition to her bookkeeping work she is an actual race car driver! Most weekends you can find Paula and her family at well-known drag strips like Bandemere and Julesburg racing her beautiful Ford Mustang.
Norm Woo
Board Member
In addition to his role on Agape Safe Haven's Board, Norm also runs The Manna Cafe. This incredible ministry of The River Church is Lyons is a "pay what you can" restaurant. Many guests from Safe Haven have been able to return to the workforce because The Manna tries to exclusively use Safe Haven's guests as cooks, dishwashers, and wait staff.
